There is a jump ring attached so it could be worn on a chain or chatelaine. The tip is sharp pointed. This Tatting Shuttle is a unique, classic tool, used to create a series of picots or knots creating a pattern similar to lace. The sharp point is used to open the picot. This is a beautiful ornate sterling tatting shuttle with nice floral scrollwork decorated and embossed on the front and back. In the center is a small cartouche for monogram.
